Description
Oldbrook Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It has a timber frame that is now rendered and features a plain tile roof with a central brick stack. The building has a three-framed bay baffle-entry plan, oriented north-south and facing east, with a narrow south bay that contains the scullery. It is one storey high with an attic, and has two windows with glazing bar casements, along with an eyebrow dormer to the right and a central door. Inside, there is a large open fireplace in the central bay, and the wall framing is exposed, showing three square panels to the eaves with straight braces. The roof trusses include V-struts above the collar, along with one pair of purlins and a ridge piece.
