Description
Clifford Cottage is a 17th-century house located on Church Hill in Kinver. It is timber framed with painted brick infill and has a plain tile roof with brick integral end stacks. The house is aligned north-west to south-east and is currently entered from the south-west, although it was formerly accessed from the north-west gable end. It has one storey and an attic, featuring closely spaced studs on the ground storey and two small square panels at the eaves. The cottage has two windows with 20th-century latticed casements and two gabled dormers. The right gable includes a queen strut roof truss and a blocked door, while the left gable features V-struts above the collar, with straight braces to the gable ends and corner posts that have angular jowls.
