Description
No. 17 High Street is a cottage dating from the 17th century that was restored in the mid to late 20th century. It features a timber frame with some rebuilding in brick and has a plain tile roof with a raised verge on the right side. The cottage has a brick ridge stack and integral end stacks. It consists of three framed bays and is two storeys high. The ground storey has tall rectangular panels that were formerly closely spaced studs, while the first floor has three small square panels near the eaves. There are three windows, which are 20th-century wood mullioned, and the ground floor windows project on brackets. To the right, there is a carriageway, and to the left, there is a 20th-century door.
