Description
4 Bore Street is a former public house that dates from the early 19th century, possibly incorporating an earlier timber frame, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The building is finished in stucco and has a tiled roof with a brick stack at one end. It stands three storeys high and features a three-window range. Architectural details include a plinth, a sill band at the first floor, and a top frieze. The entrance has a doorcase with a cornice and paired doors that have two fielded panels each. The ground floor windows have sills and rusticated wedge lintels above three- and four-light transomed casements, which include stained glass panels. The first floor has similar three-light windows, while the second floor features sills and three-light casements. An early 20th-century scrolled iron sign bracket is also present.
