Description

SANDON GREEN END TL 33 SW (Southeast side) 7/61 The Carriers GV II House, formerly public house. Early C19. Brick, stuccoed and timber clad. Hipped slate roof. 2 storeys. 3 bay symmetrical facade: 6 raised panelled door with small rectangular fanlight in reveal, doorcase with fret patterned pilasters, shallow pediment. Brick plinth.Ground floor timber clad with banded rustication and key blocked rusticated flat arched heads to 2 flush frame 16 pane sashes. Plat band to first floor, central 12 pane dummy window, flanking 16 pane sashes, moulded flush frames, stucco scored to resemble ashlar. First floor angle quoins. Boxed eaves. 2 bay right return, mixed fenestration. Left end red brick stack. To rear ground floor lean-to outshut, first floor two 12 pane sashes, angle quoins. External stack to rear right.
