Description
Doebridge Farm House is a Grade II listed house, originally two dwellings, dating from the late 16th century. It was floored and heated in the 17th century and has been altered and extended in the 20th century. The house features a timber frame with a rendered exterior and a tiled roof. Initially, it consisted of two bays, likely an open hall, and has been extended to the left. The building is one storey with an attic and includes a projecting gabled entrance porch at the left end of the original structure.
On the right side, there are two bays with three-light leaded pane casements that have flush frames, as well as three and four-light flat-topped dormers. The ridge stack is located at the original left end and has a rebuilt cap, while there is an external stack at the right end with a lean-to outshut on the ground floor. The first floor features a two-light casement and a lean-to outshut at the rear. The left side has a 20th-century addition that includes a ground floor three-light casement, two three-light dormers, three-light casements on the left end, and a stack at the rear. Inside, the house showcases exposed framing and stop-chamfered binding beams.
