The wall is made of dressed stone, with some repairs and rebuilding done in brick, and features a tile roof on the gate. The wall is attached to Number 20 and curves around the corner, ending at a gate set within a gabled portal that has a gabled roof. The gate features a pointed arch with a tile impost and hood, along with a tile cornice. This wall is believed to be part of the boundary wall of the Franciscan Friary, which was founded in 1229, rebuilt in 1291, and dissolved in 1538.
