Description

The Old Pound, located at the junction of Stafford and Uttoxeter Road with Uttoxeter, dates from 1756 and is likely from the late 18th century. It consists of a group of 12 rough-hewn tapered stone posts, each featuring sockets that once held four rails on each side of a square enclosure. These posts are probably not in their original position and may have initially been situated in Pinfold Street.
