Description

Friends Meeting House, located at the rear of number 39 Carter Street, is a small red brick building dating from the early 18th century. It is a single-storey structure with windows only on the graveyard side, featuring three windows with 19th-century glazing. The building has a moulded brick eaves cornice and a plinth, along with plain six-panel double doors and a modern hood that has replaced one from the 19th century. The building has been well restored, and its plain interior is enhanced by the reinstatement of the original open-fronted gallery.
