Description

The Coach and Horses Public House, built in 1756, is a 17th-century structure located on the north side of Carter Street. It features roughcast exterior walls and stands two storeys tall. The building has two early 19th-century casement windows with cambered heads in the reveals, along with stone quoins. The eaves and band are decorated with dentilled brickwork. There is an early 19th-century moulded wood doorcase that frames a six-fielded panelled door, and the roof is tiled. The Coach and Horses Public House is part of a group that includes The White Hart Hotel and Nos 32 to 36 (even).
