Description

The Congregational Church, located on Carter Street, was built in 1756. It features a late 18th century or early 19th century design, constructed from red brick. The church has a simple three-window front, accented by a stucco band, a moulded cornice, and a small parapet. A shallow pediment over the center of the building projects slightly forward. The windows, which previously had intersecting glazing bars, now contain modern leaded lights. The entrance is set back and framed by two columns in antis, topped with a plain frieze and cornice, creating a porch.
