Description

Laythropp's Almshouses, built in 1756 and rebuilt in 1849, are located on the south side of Carter Street. This red brick range is designed in a 17th-century style and features three gables. The windows are framed in stone and have mullions. There is a central door with a four-centred arch. A plaque on the building notes the rebuilding.
