Description

38 Balance Street is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick. It has two storeys and an attic, with the central section projecting forward beneath a pediment. The two windows below the pediment have been bricked up, leaving a sash window on each side that lacks glazing bars and features iron window baskets. The central door is set within a stucco case that includes engaged columns, a fanlight, and an open pediment. There is a stucco band, cornice, and moulding on the pediment, and the roof is covered with slates.
