Farmyard Group Approximately 100 Yards North West Of Barrowhill

The farmyard group located approximately 100 yards northwest of Barrowhill consists of a barn, stables, and cowhouses dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with later alterations and additions. The buildings are constructed of red brick and feature plain tile roofs. The north range is a single-storey structure with a dentilled eaves course and an integral end stack on the right. It has three roof bays flanked by low wings, a central door with a segmental head, and inserted top-opening casements positioned high on both sides. Each side of the door has five lozenge-pattern air vents. The left wing contains two segmental-headed doors and two inserted casements, while the right wing has a segmental-headed door and a top-opening casement. The east range is a low single-storey lean-to with doors located to the left, left of centre, and right. There is a cartshed entrance to the right of centre with a stable-type door inserted, and two casements flanking the right-hand door. A central recessed panel features lozenge-pattern air vents. The rear wall extends upwards, serving as a kitchen garden wall with ashlar coping. Inside the north range, there is a jointed and pegged king post roof.
