Description

This is a pedestal tomb located 13 metres south of the west end of the nave of the Church of St Lawrence in Church Stretton. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a tented pyramid lid with a raised flat cap and a stepped and moulded cornice. It has inset panels with quadrant corners, although the inscription is illegible. This memorial is included for its group value.
