Description

This is a pedestal tomb located 10 metres south-east of the chancel of the Church of St Lawrence in Church Stretton. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a pyramid cap with a moulded cornice and plain panels that have incised borders with inset corners. It has a plain double tier plinth. The memorial commemorates John Robinson, who died in 1830, his wife Mary, who died in 1819, their daughter Mary, who died in 1832, and their son Thomas, who died in 1842, as well as their son John, who died in 1841.
