Description

This is a milestone located in front of number 47 High Street in Church Stretton, dating from the late 18th century. It is made of painted ashlar and features a tall, thin slab with a tooled finish and a rounded top. The milestone is attached to the projecting boundary wall of number 47 High Street, which is not included in this listing. There is a square painted metal plaque affixed to the upper part of the stone, displaying the wording: "SALOP/ XIII".
