Description
This is a milestone located in Chawleigh, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and features an upright, round-headed slab that stands approximately 0.7 metres high. The milestone is inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case letters that read 'XVIII Miles from EXON', although the numeral is damaged.
