Description
This is a milestone located in Morchard Bishop, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is made of granite and stands upright at approximately 0.9 metres high. The milestone has a flat top and a triangular shape, with two sides slanting forward. It features inscriptions in Roman serif capitals, reading "TO EXON XIV MILES" on the left and "TO BARUM XXVI MILES" on the right.
