Description
This is a pedestal tomb located 14 meters south of the west end of the nave of the Church of St Lawrence in Church Stretton. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a tented pyramid lid with a stepped and moulded cornice, although the finial was missing at the time of review. It has raised and fielded panels with inscriptions set within an incised bordered shield motif, and a moulded chamfered plinth. The memorial commemorates Ann, the wife of John Home, who died in 1822, and her daughter Elizabeth, who died in 1830.
