Description
No. 54 Broad Street is a house that has been converted into offices and a dwelling, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a steeply pitched plain-tile roof with brick end stacks. It stands three stories tall with a cellar and has a four-window range. The windows are 6/6 sashes set in broad beaded cases, topped with gauged brick flat arches, and are protected by wrought-iron window guards. Above, there are additional 6/6 sashes in moulded cases, and the building is capped with a parapet that has moulded brick coping. To the center left, there are steps leading to a six-panel door with an overlight, which is framed in a round-headed panelled case that has a moulded flat hood supported by corbels and fluted pilasters. The rear of the building includes a 18th-century wing.
