Shop and dwelling. C18 front to C17 core and rear range of 1431-9. Part stucco and plaster, part C20 render, to timber-frame; C20 plain tile roof; C19 brick end stack. 2-storeys and attic, 3-storeys to right. 2-window range: late C19 canted bay with coved underhang and 1/1: 1/1: 1/1 sashes (centre margin glazed); C20 mullion and transom with casement to right, and similar over; two C20 box dormers. To left, C20 shopfront; far left, curved chamfered brace; to right, early C20 shopfront with angled half glazed door to left; far right, 4-panel door in beaded case with architrave, to passage to rear. All under deep overhang on cast iron pillars. Passage to rear has timber-frame to left, and ceiling beams with stop chamfers. C20 door to rear left of passage; rear gable has C19 and C20 casements, and C20 doors to ground floor. Rear wing is in part Angel Hotel annexe. INTERIOR reported as having mid C15 roof in rear range. 8 bays, mostly intact, of open and closed trusses with curved windbraces.
