Description
Stanford House is an 18th-century house located on Broad Street in Ludlow. The building is constructed of stucco with a Welsh slate roof and features brick axial stacks at the rear. It stands three storeys tall with a cellar and has a four-window plan. The windows include 6/6 sashes with scalloped boards below the lintels and 3/3 sashes under cambered heads. The eaves are moulded wood. The entrance is positioned to the centre right and consists of a six-fielded panel door with a fanlight, set in a panelled case beneath an open pediment hood supported by Tuscan pilasters. To the far left, there is another six-panel door with a fanlight, also in a panelled case, but this one is topped with a flat hood on fluted pilasters. Additionally, there are three 6/6 sashes with scalloped wood awnings.
