Description
No. 35 on Hill's Lane is a pair of shops and offices dating from the late 18th century. The building features stucco over brick and has a plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys tall with attic dormers, presenting a five-window range where the two right-hand bays are advanced. The ground floor is rusticated and has been altered with 20th-century shop fronts and a doorway in the central bay. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes that have stressed entablatures, and there is a segmental pediment above the central window in the left-hand section. The second-storey windows are also 12-pane sashes and are set above a continuous sill band. There is a plain eaves band, and the right-hand section has a hipped roof. The roof features four gabled dormers and a stack on the left-hand gable.
