Description
15 High Street is an early 17th-century building located in Much Wenlock. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick and has two storeys plus an attic. The façade includes two modern moulded wood mullioned and transomed eight-light windows, with two similar windows below that have two small lights at the center. There is a modern moulded wood doorcase raised on steps to the side, a plain gable, and corbelled wood eaves. The building also has two dormers and a stack with diagonal brick shafts. To the left of the rear, there is a timber-framed wing over a passageway. Inside, there is a good Jacobean staircase. This building was formerly known as the Falcon Inn. It is part of a group that includes Nos. 9 to 34, the Gaskell Arms Hotel, and The Old Vicarage.
