Description

These are two early 18th-century red brick buildings on the north side of Much Wenlock High Street. They are two storeys high with an additional attic level and feature five flat-headed windows on each floor, all retaining their original glazing bars. Horizontal bands run across the facade, and plain pilasters are positioned at the sides. Number 57 has a projecting shop front with a pentice. Number 58 has a recessed entrance with a moulded wooden cornice above the door. One dormer window has been recently restored and one is modern. The eaves are brick, and the roof is tiled. Numbers 53 to 61 (consecutive), the County Library, and number 63 form a group.
