Description

No. 61 on High Street is an early 19th-century building with stucco applied over earlier fabric. It stands three storeys high and features two windows with plain lintels, along with a modern shop front. While the facade is not particularly noteworthy, it does include a small enriched panel inscribed with initials and dated 1693, as well as a well-preserved Carolean staircase. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 53 to 61, the County Library, and No. 63.
