Description
95 Chediston Street is an early 17th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic. It features a timber frame that has been faced with modern brick, along with a red brick wing on the east side. The building has a steep roof with a front gable, covered in renewed pantiles. The windows are mainly sash and have a flush frame.
Inside, the ground floor has a beam that is cased and joists that are covered, along with a Jacobean panelled door located under a winding stair, which has butterfly hinges. On the first floor, there is a stopped ovolo-moulded beam and original wide-boarded doors with wrought hinges on lugs. The timber framing is exposed, and there is a winding stair leading to the attic, which retains its original roof trusses and purlins. Additionally, there is a mid-18th-century wooden mantel in front of a wide chimney breast on the ground floor.
