Description

Nos. 1 and 2 Chediston Street are a pair of 18th-century buildings of timber-frame construction. They are two storeys high with a brick plinth. The front has three sash windows with damaged glazing and flush frames. No. 1 has shop windows with wooden bases, one featuring a reeded architrave, which is a remnant of a former doorcase with plain square corners. No. 2 has a modern door set within an early 19th-century wooden doorcase, featuring panelled linings, pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice that integrates the door and window. The roof is covered in pantiles.
