Nos. 2 and 4 Hungate are a pair of buildings dating from the 18th or early 19th century. They are two storeys high and constructed of red brick, with a pantile roof and tumbled brickwork to the gable ends. A brick eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. There are two sliding sash windows with glazing bars on each floor. The original front door is of six fielded panels, set within a wooden surround, and there is a more modern door, also in a wooden surround.
