Description
No. 80 High Street is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is two storeys tall, constructed of brick with a hipped pantile roof that slopes to the left. The building features a diagonal-set brick eaves cornice and has three windows on the upper floor, with the centre window being smaller. These windows have moulded wood cases and no glazing bars.
On the ground floor, there are two windows that have rusticated lintels with keystones, along with a small modern window. The entrance is framed by a doorcase with carved pilasters and a cornice, topped with a flat hood supported by brackets. The door itself is carved with six fielded panels and has a rectangular fanlight above it. The side elevation includes a blocked circular window. There are storage premises at the rear, with two windows on the rear and two on the side elevation.
No. 80 forms a group with No. 78, which is of local interest.
