Description

Wood Farmhouse is a farmhouse located in Prees, dating from the mid- to late 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with integral end stacks. The building has an L-plan layout, with a two-storey service range positioned at right angles to the rear on the right side. The farmhouse stands two storeys high and includes a gable-lit attic, with floor bands visible. The front has four windows, which are late 19th and 20th century casements set in 18th-century segmental-headed openings. The entrance is located in the second bay from the left, featuring a six-panel door beneath a 19th-century gabled timber porch. The service range is adorned with a stepped eaves cornice that wraps around the rear gable.
