Description
Hindford Grange is a farmhouse dating from the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a graded slate roof with integral end stacks. The building has a rectangular main block and includes a wide gabled range at right angles to the rear on the right, along with a contemporary two-storey lean-to at the rear on the left. The farmhouse stands three storeys high and has a dentilled eaves cornice. The front has three windows, featuring glazing bar sashes with 16 panes on the ground floor and the center window on the first floor, while the second floor windows are of reduced proportions. The central entrance is framed by a plain pilastered doorcase with panelled reveals and soffit, leading to a recessed half-glazed door that has late 19th or early 20th century stained glass at the top and an early 19th century fanlight.
