Description

The game larder, located immediately to the north of the service range to Halston Hall, dates from the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with a full-length louvred lantern. The building is rectangular and consists of one storey. It has continuous wooden-framed wire-meshed windows, some of which are also louvred. Access is provided through a boarded door at the west end. Inside, there are rails with iron hooks for hanging game that run the full length of the building. This structure is included for its group value with Halston Hall.
