Description
Arscott Hall is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It features red brick construction, slate roofs, and end stacks. The front of the building is divided into two parts: a three-bay rectangular block on the left and a two-bay lower range on the right, which includes a two-storey gabled projection at its left-hand corner. The main range has two storeys and a gable-lit attic, with a dentilled eaves cornice. The windows are a mix of glazing bar sashes, mid-19th century casements, and late 20th century aluminium framed sashes, all except for the central window of the main range, which is set in a round-arched recess and has a segmental head. There is a central half-glazed door in the main range and another entrance beneath a cast-iron trellised verandah at the angle of the gabled projection on the right-hand range. The rear of the building has single- and two-storey projections that extend at right angles.
