Farmhouse. Mainly early C18, but incorporating parts of an earlier house, with later additions and alterations. Red brick, plain tile hipped roof largely hidden by brick parapet with stone coping. Original house to south probably timber framed but partly demolished and re-built in red brick in early C18 when an L-shaped north range was added; the north front of this was heightened in late C18 by addition of a third storey. North front: 3 storeys over cellars, floor bands; 6 bays, glazing bar sashes with gauged heads, those to first-floor and in fourth bay from left on ground floor 18-paned with original thick glazing bars; entrance in third bay from left, 8-panel door with bracketed hood; late C18 central lead downpipe; 2 integral axial stacks to back wall. 4-bay left return also with central downpipe and blocked windows. Interior: staircase in central hall rising to third floor, 3 turned balusters to each tread and parquet floors on landings, room to east on ground floor contains plain oak panelling; some re-used timbers in the cellar and in the attic a wooden board inscribed "June.Wilm.Woley.1616" may come from earlier house.
