Description

The wash house, now used as a store-shed, was likely built in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a machine tile roof. The building is a single level with a small cast-iron latticed window on each side. Access is through a boarded door located at the right gable end, and there is a red brick ridge stack on the left. Inside, there is a cast-iron sink with a furnace below it for heating water, and a bread oven situated to the right of the stack. The floor is made of red tiles. This wash house is included in the register as a rare and complete example of a small Victorian wash house.
