Description

This is an early 19th-century bank, now used as offices. The front of the building is constructed of ashlar stone, with stuccoed side elevations and a slate roof. It is two storeys high and features a pedimented gable facing the street. The ground floor is rusticated ashlar, with three round-arched windows set within stepped openings. The upper floor windows are 12-pane sash windows, set in moulded architraves and divided by pilasters. A heavy entablature sits above the pediment. The western return elevation has a doorway in a later porch towards the rear, along with three 16-pane sash windows. The upper floor is articulated as eight bays, divided by pilasters, and contains three 12-pane sash windows. The building has end walls and axial stacks.
