Description

Nos 3 and 5 on High Street are a bank and offices built in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of ashlar limestone and has three stories with six bays. The ground floor features rusticated stonework and arcaded windows, with the end bays framed by heavy pilasters and a bracketed cornice. The first floor has a central bow window that spans two bays, flanked by composite columns that separate three two-pane sash windows, all topped with cresting. The other windows have plain moulded architraves. The end bays are accentuated with corner pedestals that rise above the cornice and are topped with vase terminals. The interior was updated in the late 20th century.
