Description
No 7 High Street is a bank office building constructed in 1906 by Waller and Son of Gloucester. It features Portland and Bath stone ashlar and a slate roof with dormers. The building is four stories tall and has four bays. The ground floor includes a left entrance that is now blocked, and a canopy with strapwork on tall brackets. There are three arched windows with keystones, set within rusticated and vermiculated masonry. A right entrance, also blocked, is framed by architraves. Above the entrance, the first floor has a bow window with a pierced parapet. All windows have cross stone mullions, with the first-floor windows featuring pediments. The building has dentilled eaves and a balustrade, along with one flush dormer and three crowded dormers within the mansard roof. The interior is not of special interest.
