Description
Coventry House is a house that has been converted into a shop with offices above. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of painted rubble stone with drawn ashlar. The building features a slate roof with three hipped dormers and has a left gable stack. It is two storeys high with an attic and consists of four bays, along with a long two-storey rear extension.
On the ground floor, there is a left-hand four-panelled door with a fanlight, accessed by three steps that include a bootscraper. The 19th-century projecting shop window has a recessed central entrance, columnar glazing, and a blind box with a fascia. The first floor has narrow two-pane sash windows set within moulded architraves, and the eaves are coved.
