Description

This early 19th-century house, potentially with an earlier core, is located on College Hill in Shrewsbury. It is constructed of stucco over brick, with a Welsh slate roof. The building is three storeys high and has a single-window front, running parallel to the street. A doorway sits within a pedimented case, above which is an overlight, and above that, four-pane sash windows on each floor. A full-height canted bay window with four-pane sashes is set within the gable wall, and a similar sash window with expressed barge-boards and a finial is located in the attic. A lower rear wing also features a canted bay window, and has moulded, dentilled eaves. The building is characterized by two axial stacks.
