Description

This is a milestone located on the north side of the B4368 in Clunbury, dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of limestone and likely was painted in the past. The milestone features a rounded, ledged top. The inscription is very faint, but it is known to read "MILES" radially at the top, followed by "CLUN 2 3/4" and a coat of arms, with a height of 6 inches.
