Description

This milestone, located on the north side of Clun Road in Hopesay, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of white painted limestone with a black base and black lettering. The top of the milestone is rounded and ledged. It features the inscription "MILES" at the top, with distances marked as "B. CASTLE 8 / CLUN 4 3/4 / C. ARMS 4".
