Description

Clunbury Bridge is a bridge built in 1837 by Edward Haycock. It is constructed from regularly coursed and dressed limestone rubble and features a coped parapet. The bridge has a single segmental arch, which includes a projecting keystone and voussoirs, along with a flat string course that ends in rectangular corner piers. The approaches to the bridge are slightly curved. The contract for its construction, dated April 4, 1837, was awarded to Matthew Stead, the younger, for a sum of £400. The bridge spans the River Clun.
