Description
The former malthouse, located immediately to the east of the Old Farmhouse, is now used as an agricultural building. It was likely built in the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations since then. The structure is made of roughly coursed limestone rubble and features a corrugated iron roof. On the first floor, there are three windows on the left side and a plank door to the right of center, which is accessed by external stone steps. Inside, while the equipment has been removed, the building still retains three malting floors. The roof is supported by five bays with short wall posts that rise from the girding beams of the attic floor, featuring short curving braces to the tie beams, which in turn support king posts. This building is included for its group value.
