Description
The railings, gate, and gate piers adjoining the English Lodge to the south-west date from around 1849. They consist of two square cast iron gate piers featuring moulded bases, panelled sides, and gabled tops on each face. The pedestrian gate is made of cast iron and has plain railings with dogbars, along with bands of circular motifs on the top and bottom rails and the dograil. The cast iron railings connect to the English Lodge on the right and include poppyhead railings, dogbars, a top rail, a dograil, and a stone base. The main gate has been replaced by a grid. This structure is included for its group value.
