Description
The Green Dragon is a house that was later used as an inn, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features a plinth and a plat band. On the right side, there is an external stack made of coursed Alberbury breccia rubble with a brick top, while the left side has an integral brick end stack with a chamfered offset. At the rear, there is a large external stack of coursed Alberbury breccia rubble with chamfered side offsets. The front of the building has five windows, which include segmental-headed 19th-century wooden cross-windows, except for the left side where there are three-light windows with transoms on each floor. The third window from the right is blocked. The central entrance features a panelled and boarded door with a moulded architrave, and it is sheltered by a gabled porch with a slate roof supported by painted cast iron columns. There is also a blocked attic window in the right-hand gable end. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
