Description

These are two late 18th- or early 19th-century brick houses on the south side of Friars Walk in Ludlow. The houses have a plain tile roof and brick end and ridge stacks. They are three storeys high and feature a four-window front. The upper floors have 4/8 sash windows set within broad cases and topped with segmental arches. The ground floor of No.4 has a six-panel door, protected by a flat hood supported on plain consoles, flanked by 8/8 sash windows. No.3 features two 8/8 sash windows on the ground floor. The rear of the properties includes a two-light casement window with single glazing bars. The left return side has a restored small 1/1 sliding sash window, while the right return side has a 20th-century casement window to the third floor and a 20th-century half-glazed door with an overlight of glazing bars, set within a panelled case and sheltered by a moulded flat hood on plain pilasters.
