Description
No. 71 Old Street is an 18th-century house located in Ludlow. It features roughcast brick construction and a Welsh slate roof, with a brick stack at the rear. The house has a lobby-entry plan and stands three stories tall with a cellar. It has a two-window range with 6/6 sash windows set in broad cases, which are recessed under shallow arches. Above, there are three similar sash windows. The entrance consists of a 20th-century half-glazed door and case, which is sheltered by a moulded flat hood. To the left of the entrance, there are two early 20th-century 6/6 sash windows, and a storey band is visible to the right. The right gable is plastered, and its irregularity suggests possible stonework beneath. At the rear, there is an 18th-century brick stack and a roughcast rubble wing with a casement window.
